Service Description

Option to receive acupuncture on your mat community style after this yin yoga class. If you wish to receive this, register for "Yin and Pin." If you want to come for the Yin Yoga class only, register for this class. Explore the practice of Yin Yoga, a gentle yet profound journey into the depths of our bodies and minds. Yin Yoga is a practice of surrender, where we hold each pose for extended periods, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes. During this time, we gently explore the boundaries of our comfort, allowing gravity to guide us deeper into each posture. Unlike more dynamic forms of yoga, Yin focuses on the connective tissues, joints, and fascia.. Through sustained holds, we gently coax these tissues to release tension and unravel layers of stiffness that may have accumulated over time. Our issues are in our tissues. Each pose in our Yin practice is an invitation to introspection and self-discovery. As we hold the poses, we encourage a sense of mindfulness, observing sensations as they arise and acknowledging any resistance with kindness and acceptance. Throughout the class, we will explore a variety of Yin poses, each targeting different areas of the body, from the hips and spine to the shoulders and thighs. With each breath, we soften a little more, allowing ourselves to sink deeper into relaxation and restoration. Yin Yoga is not about striving for perfection or pushing beyond our limits. Instead, it's about finding comfort in discomfort and embracing the present moment with open-hearted awareness.
